As our population continues to grow, along with increasing consumption of energy and materials, we are rapidly approaching the limits of our global ecology. Over the past few centuries, human population has been growing exponentially. At the same time, we live on a planet of limited space, materials, and energy. How much longer can we survive? What happens as we continue along a path of over-consumption?

Limits to Growth Simulation
Try working with a version of the computer simulation that served as the basis for the Limits To Growth research:

Joshua Project Population and Other Data Counters — provides a wide range of data on the growth of population, illnesses, environmental factors, energy, crime, food, etc.

World Population Clock — births, death, net growth, and total population

Human Population counter — allows you to look at different dates in the past or future
