Changeability and beauty were the two topics that I enjoyed the most from Bateson.
Some say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't disagree with that, but I think that everybody has a different opinion of what is beautiful. What someone thinks is the most beautiful thing they have seen, others could argue that it is hideous, neither of them are wrong in their opinions, because neither one is factual. With beauty, it is all opinion. It is never going to be put into facts, what classifies beauty. Society has created this 'image' of what is beautiful and what is not. People who portray this image are treated differently than people who aren't part of this image. I personally believe that everything has some sort of beauty, just sometimes, you have to search deeper to find it.
Change is always taking place. Nothing will ever stay the same forever and that's for the best. If things never changed, everyone would be bored of the same things over and over again. Change adds diversity and new things into the world.
